Montpellier, France, Aug. 27, 2015 – MEDTECH (Euronext, FR0010892950 – ROSA), a company specialized in designing, developing and marketing innovative surgical assistance robots, is proud to announce that it will feature its ROSA® robot at the Annual Congress of the Spine Society of Europe, or EUROSPINE 2015, Sept. 2-4, in Copenhagen.
EUROSPINE is the most important platform for exchanging the latest research and innovations in the prevention and treatment of spinal disorder, attracting approximately 4,000 neurosurgeons and spine specialists each year. Medtech will have two ROSA® robots at its booth (#150) for demonstrations of surgical procedures on the spine and brain.
At noon local time on Sept. 4, Medtech will host a workshop for EUROSPINE 2015 attendees titled: “Robotics and spine: Early experience with ROSA and perspectives.” This workshop will be hosted by Drs. Anthony Fichten and Michel Lefranc, neurosurgeons at Amiens University Hospital Center, the first hospital in Europe to purchase the ROSA Spine system. Amiens University Hospital was also one of the very first to use ROSA Spine in clinical trials led by Drs. Fichten and Lefranc.
“The aim of this meeting is to provide surgeons and specialists with an exchange for the newest tools, techniques and approaches in spine. EUROSPINE allows us to combine our existing knowledge and to develop and implement new concepts for the benefit of patients across Europe. As early ROSA adopters in both brain and spine surgeries, we look forward to sharing the latest from Medtech, and ROSA Spine during our workshop,” said Dr. Lefranc.
